As a child I constantly found joy and comfort in fantasy media. It was my passion. Inspired by the fantasy artists and illustrators whose work I loved growing up, I am motivated to create work that brings that same excitement to children (and grown-ups) as my heroes’ work brought me.
This motivation took me to New York, where I received a B.A. in Studio Art and Illustration & Animation from Marymount Manhattan College.
For five years I worked as a teacher and creative assistant with Art in the Barn by Cynthia Scott, a local business in my hometown of Bucks County, Pennsylvania that hosts a variety of art classes for all ages and art camps for children. I currently work as an instructor at a local franchise location of Painting with a Twist.
In my experience teaching art, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of imagination; I strive to create art that nurtures that critical part of the human psyche.
I started working as an illustrator with Red Penguin Books in 2021. My credits with with them include "Libby the Ladybug Learns Helpfulness" by Carly Furino (February 2022), "George the Alligator" by Margaret Sansom (July 2022), "The 7 Days: A Classic Nursery Rhyme Made New" by Deborah Burns (October 2022), and "Bella the Buck-Toothed Ballerina" by Amanda Montoni (November 2022).
